Danishbydesign started in 2001, the sole distributor of HandySitt seating solutions for children, from The HandySitt Company in Denmark. The first HandySitt in Australia was our own. We brought it home from Denmark for our first daughter, and quite simply it is the best quality, most practical and versatile product we have purchased for any of our children. It was the constant enquiries from friends, family, and people in restaurants etc, who led us to starting the business.

We still use our HandySitt chair frequently when we are out, on holidays, at Nanna’s, and of course at home. Our children enjoy the socialisation of always playing and eating at an ideal height at the table, and with the family which is so important. We hope as you read these information pages you will see how we are very proud of our products, and happily recommend them as parents, not just as directors.

When choosing new products for our range, we are quite specific and hence our range is still small. In 2004 we introduced the Leander Cradle to the Australian market and we chose it, because it met all our our criteria in terms of quality, design, function and uniqueness. The same goes for the Leander Bed, which reached our shores in September 2006 and the Leander Chair which is now in selected stores. Same designer as the cradle and in short, wonderful products.
