Does the cot have a drop side?
The Leander Cot does not have a drop side. You will find that the cot is not as tall as some more traditional cots, and the carefully designed curved side rail allows most mums to easily reach into the cot without the need for a drop side. Initially, the base is in the high position and access is easy. Later, once the base is at the bottom, your baby is much more robust and doesn’t need you to support their head. Also, your baby will often be sitting or standing up waiting for you after a sleep.
Is the junior bed extension an extra cost?
– Yes, the junior kit is not part of your initial purchase. A cot extension kit and a mattress extension piece are available. A top mattress and fitted sheets (junior size) are also in the range.
To what age can my child sleep in the junior bed configuration?
– It is quite hard to be exact as all children grow at different rates. A child with average height and build will be able to use the junior bed until 6 or 7 years old. The junior bed retains the same width as the cot (70cm), so a taller/larger than average child may move into an adult size bed sooner.

What are the benefits of the Leander Bed?
Basically, the Leander Cradle is baby’s very first bed and the suspension will provide a familiar feeling: movement. While in the womb, baby’s kicks resulted in movement and the Leander Cradle responds to those kicks. The cotton sides are soft to touch and the canopy creates an enclosed, cave-like feeling and takes away all distractions. Size wise the Leander Cradle suits your baby much better than a cot, and it will be a beautiful feature in the nursery.
